Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lansing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howland Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lansing comes into the arena with Heavy Metal Kings blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alexander Lansing!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Howland Reed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Reed slips a straight right by Lansing.
Lansing swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lansing throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lansing scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Lansing cracks Reed with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Reed dives in and scores a takedown into Lansing's guard.
Reed is fighting to break Lansing's control of his arms but Lansing is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Reed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lansing. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lansing working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lansing had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reed defends it easily.

Lansing is really struggling to control Reed but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alexander Lansing will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lansing's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Lansing enables Reed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lansing manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alexander Lansing.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lansing, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
