Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Bubba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zek Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Big Bubba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Gomez misses
and Bubba counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gomez's knee momentarily.
Crunch! Gomez slams his shin into Bubba's torso.
Gomez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Big Bubba has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bubba dives in and grabs Gomez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gomez pushes down on Bubba's head and hops out.
Gomez clinches up with Bubba and pushes him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Gomez decides to pull guard.
Gomez has his foot on Bubba's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bubba works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gomez.

and Bubba counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Gomez tries to get to full guard but Bubba has control of the leg.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Gomez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gomez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bubba swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gomez throws a body punch but Bubba moves out of range.
Gomez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gomez gets a clinch.
Bubba has Gomez pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gomez manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bubba tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gomez just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gomez is trying to maintain a safe position but Bubba gets an underhook and turns Gomez into the cage.

Bubba jumps guard and drags Gomez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Gomez digs a right hand underneath Bubba's ribcage. Bubba let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Gomez slaps away a takedown attempt from Bubba, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bubba shoots in looking for a takedown. Gomez tries to sprawl out of it but Bubba keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gomez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bubba fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gomez to the ground. Bubba is now in Gomez's guard.

Zek Gomez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Bubba misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

I would just about give that final round to Zek Gomez.
Well Gomez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
