Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dat Sik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamapi Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan has chosen Ikenai Tayou as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Dat Sik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yamapi Chan!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan with a poor takedown
and Sik counters with a straight right hand.
Chan throws a head kick that misses.
Chan shoots for a double leg takedown but Sik sprawls well. He's pushed Chan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Sik counters with an outside leg kick.
Dat Sik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yamapi Chan.
Chan is looking to clinch.
Sik lands with an overhand left.

Sik tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Chan's elbow.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Sik just misses with a elbow thrown towards Chan's brow.
Still in the clinch, Sik scores with a nice short uppercut.

Sik lands a right hand that snaps the head of Chan backwards.
Chan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Chan tries to pull guard but Sik holds him up against the cage and eventually Chan drops back down to his feet.
Sik lands with a short shot to the head.
Chan is looking to take this one to the mat.
Sik lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Sik jumps guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Chan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Chan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Chan tries to free his leg and advance position but Sik is retaining full guard.

Sik utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Chan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sik swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chan passes Sik's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Sik is trying to maintain the position but Chan is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chan is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sik tries to roll over but Chan keeps him under control.

Chan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Chan throws a strike but Sik avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Chan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sik is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chan, into his guard.

Sik has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sik won't allow Chan to sweep him here.

Chan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sik is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sik has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Chan is proving hard to escape from.

Chan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sik defends well.

Chan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sik manages to get himself to full guard.

Chan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Chan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Chan trying to control but Sik is working from the bottom.
Chan throws an elbow that misses. Sik uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chan's guard. Nice move by Sik!
Sik wants to stand but Chan is controlling his posture from full guard.

Chan wants to sweep here but Sik controlling him for the moment.
Chan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Chan is trying to keep Sik in close.
Chan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sik!
Chan throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Sik because Chan loaded up on that one.

Sik avoids a strike by Chan and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Chan's guard! Fantastic escape!
Sik's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Chan is trying to keep Sik in close.

Chan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sik defends it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Chan throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The fight stays on the outside here - Chan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chan checks a leg kick.

Chan clobbers Sik with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Chan moves in looking to clinch but Sik pushes him off.
Sik misses with a shot to the body
and Chan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sik.
Chan misses with a jab, cross combination.

Chan throws an overhand right that lands on Sik's shoulder, as Sik tries to avoid the shot.
Chan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sik counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Nice cross by Sik.
Chan takes a swing at Sik's ribcage but misses.
Chan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sik but Sik pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Chan shoots in looking for a takedown. Sik tries to sprawl out of it but Chan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice uppercut lands for Chan. That snapped Sik's head back.
Chan tries to move into range but Sik moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That kick from Sik tenderised Chan's leg. Chan is trying to keep his angry face on.

No joy there for Sik, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Chan is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Sik still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Sik has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Sik has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Chan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Sik connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Yamapi Chan has got the better of the ground game so far.

Chan has gone for a leg lock! Sik slips out almost immediately though and dives into Chan's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sik got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sik has managed to get both his arms back between Chan's legs - danger averted.

Chan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sik can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sik gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Yamapi Chan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Chan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
