Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thorbjorn Rekdal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Gazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gazer's choice of entrance music: Cuts Like a Knife. Peter Gazer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Rekdal misses its intended target.
Rekdal takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Thorbjorn Rekdal has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rekdal. Gazer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice body punch from Gazer.
Gazer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rekdal but Rekdal pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rekdal cracks a nice hook into Gazer's ribs.

Rekdal stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Gazer shoots in looking for a takedown but Rekdal manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gazer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gazer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Gazer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Thorbjorn Rekdal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Gazer.

Oooooh!!! Rekdal has knocked Gazer down with a huge combo! Rekdal steps away and waves a wobbly Gazer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

BOOM! Rekdal lands a beautiful left hook that drops Gazer. Gazer tries to recover but Rekdal is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Gazer lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
