Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danon Detrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loco Coco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loco Coco has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coco decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Coco postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Detrow to stand up.

Coco closes the distance and clinches.
Coco lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Detrow.
Detrow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Coco turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Coco stands up and beckons Detrow to his feet.
Coco fails to land with a series of punches.
Detrow blocks the body kick.
Detrow scores with a nice strike.
Coco throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Detrow.
A combination from Coco does no damage.
Coco is looking to clinch.

Loco Coco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Coco throws a right and a left that Detrow avoids nicely.

Detrow could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Detrow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Coco as he jumps to the side.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

No joy there for Coco, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Coco is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Detrow is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Detrow has escaped and now he's on top!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Coco is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Detrow asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Coco sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Coco manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Coco controls Detrow momentarily but Detrow frees himself.
Coco pulls Detrow in close to prevent any damage.

Detrow has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Detrow feints and then cracks Coco's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Coco down.

Detrow gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Coco keeps control of Detrow as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Horrible takedown by Detrow or perhaps it was just good defense by Coco which made him look bad.

Loco Coco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Coco is staying active underneath Detrow, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

and Detrow counters with a nice body kick.
Coco misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Detrow.
Nice sprawl there from Coco as Detrow shoots in.

Detrow tries to keep at a distance but Coco has taken the fight into the clinch.
Coco jumps guard but Detrow stands there with Coco around his waist. Coco gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Detrow wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Detrow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Coco scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
An inside leg kick lands from Detrow.
Coco will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Danon Detrow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Loco Coco.

so Detrow counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Coco is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Coco wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Detrow has him pressed against the cage.

Detrow is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Coco is keeping busy.

Coco is staying active underneath Detrow, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
It looks like Detrow is going to stand back up.

Coco has one foot on Detrow's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Danon Detrow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Coco fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Detrow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Coco looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Coco doesn't succeed with the takedown

Coco misses with a takedown attempt - Detrow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Detrow slips a jab and a cross from Coco.
Detrow walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Danon Detrow showed his dominance in that final round.
