Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Royale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Venom Vortex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vortex comes into a darkened arena with his song building. VOIVOD into the abyss kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royale wants to clinch.

Vortex changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Royale looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Royale is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Royale throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Vortex scores with a one two! Royale had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Vortex closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vortex goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Royale has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Vortex but great work by Royale.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vortex can do anything to dispel that myth.

Royale has control of Vortex's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Vortex regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Royale misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

You get the feeling that Vortex really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Vortex is desperately trying to improve his position but Royale has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Royale avoids the attempt from Vortex to control.
Vortex might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Royale kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Royale pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vortex tries to reverse the position but Royale maintains control.
Royale is landing with some decent strikes but Vortex is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vortex is bucking up trying to escape but Royale cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Vortex is working to get back to half guard.
Vortex tries to lock up and control but Royale gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Vortex is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Vortex has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Royale can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Royale got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vortex has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Royale has managed to get both his arms back between Vortex's legs - danger averted.
Vortex wants to stand but Royale is controlling the position.
Vortex preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Vortex isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Royale stacks Vortex on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Royale!
