The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merkki showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carwin.
Carwin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Carwin with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Carwin throws a right and a left that Merkki avoids nicely.
A punch combination from Carwin misses.
Merkki takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Merkki is rocked!
Nice sprawl there from Carwin as Merkki shoots in.
Oh Merkki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Merkki slips a jab and a cross from Carwin.
Merkki seems to have got his legs back now.
Carwin works Merkki's body with a nice hook.
Carwin throws a series of strikes that have Merkki backpedaling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
A combination from Carwin does no damage.
Carwin lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Merkki is looking to close the distance but Carwin sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Merkki crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Merkki is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
