The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punishment keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Esch.
Punishment throws a head kick that misses
and Esch counters with a nice uppercut.

Esch cracks Punishment with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Punishment is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Punishment is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Esch plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Punishment swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Punishment face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

After the fight, Eric Esch was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
