The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matheus misses with a head kick.
Matheus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lanzoni looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Matheus is fending him off so far but Lanzoni persists. Nope, Matheus circles away and we're back to standing.
Matheus lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Matheus throws a head kick but Lanzoni moves out of range.
Glauco Matheus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lanzoni looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Matheus flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lanzoni slows the pace down in half guard.
Matheus tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Lanzoni gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Lanzoni shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Matheus flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Matheus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lanzoni looking to isolate an arm here. Matheus doesn't see it coming and as Lanzoni extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Lanzoni!
