Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fedor Emelianenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Ung!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emelianenko gets caught napping as Ung dives in and scores a takedown. Emelianenko manages to retain guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ung is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Emelianenko throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ung uses it to pass to side control.
Emelianenko is trying to get back to half guard.

Ung goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Emelianenko rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ung's guard! Nice work there by Emelianenko!

Emelianenko gets caught flat footed, as Ung shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Emelianenko is trying to hold Ung in close to prevent damage but Ung has managed to pass into half guard.

Ung is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Emelianenko has managed to free his arm - good work.

Ung looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Ung looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Emelianenko looks for a takedown but Ung sprawls well.

Ung dives in and scores a takedown into Emelianenko's guard.
Ung distracts Emelianenko with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ung's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Kevin Ung has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Ung forces Emelianenko back against the cage and clinches.

Ung successfully pulls guard.

Emelianenko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Ung shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Kevin Ung has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ung tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
