Read's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hatebreed-Destroy Everything. James Read has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Whos Guy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Read throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Guy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Read is in Guy's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Read drops back looking for a leg! Guy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Guy manages to kick Read off! Read jumps back into Guy's guard.
Read slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Read wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Guy, who protects the arm well.

Read is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Read tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Guy is looking for a sweep.

Read has hold of Guy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Guy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Read cranks the arm and Guy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Guy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). James Read!
