Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackob Keen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Wayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackob Keen!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wayne counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wayne avoids a punch combination nicely.
Keen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Keen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wayne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Keen manages to avoid it.
Wayne throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Keen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Keen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Keen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Keen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Keen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A combination from Keen does no damage.
Keen misses with an uppercut

so Wayne counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wayne stands up over Keen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wayne working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wayne slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Wayne sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Keen's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wayne landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Wayne not doing much here.

Wayne looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wayne slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Keen trying to control from the bottom.

Wayne seems to be working for a kimura but Keen defends the submission attempt.

Wayne is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Keen defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Keen is not content to let Wayne control the position.
Wayne trying to control from Keen's half guard. Keen has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Wayne is pushing down on Keen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Keen is fighting to maintain full guard but Wayne has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wayne is trying to control. Keen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Keen is looking to control Wayne's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Keen avoid being mounted?
Wayne lands strikes from half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wayne is looking for a kimura but Keen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wayne to get the leverage.
Keen is looking for a sweep. Wayne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wayne landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wayne lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Wayne looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Well, if Wayne is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Wayne lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Wayne missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Wayne wants to lay and pray for a moment but Keen keeps working.
Keen is trying to maintain the position but Wayne is very close to passing his half guard.

Keen looking for submissions off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wayne tries to pass to full mount but Keen defends it.

Wayne is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wayne controlling the action here.
Keen is trying to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wayne lands a nice short elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wayne is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wayne trying to control the action but Keen is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Wayne dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Wayne steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Keen.
Keen throws a looping overhand right but Wayne ducks down to avoid it.
Keen misses with a left hand
enabling Wayne to counter with a crisp jab.
Keen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Keen connects with a jab.

Wayne shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Keen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wayne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wayne stands up over Keen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
John Wayne overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Keen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wayne's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Wayne advances to half guard.
Wayne is looking to take a break and control but Keen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wayne works his way into side control.
Keen on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Keen is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Wayne lands some shots froms side control.


Keen is rocked!
Wayne scores with a couple of short elbows.
Keen is still in real trouble! Can Wayne finish him?
A big shot lands for Wayne! That's hurt Keen! Will he recover? Wayne fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Wayne!
