The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harvey loads up on a big right hand but Zaferani slips the punch.
Harvey throws a series of punches but Zaferani moves out of range.
Zaferani checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

and Harvey counters with a thumping low kick.
Harvey scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Harvey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zaferani moves away.

A head kick by Zaferani misses
and Harvey counters with a straight right hand.
Zaferani takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Harvey lands a head kick!

Zaferani blocks a head kick by Harvey.
Harvey throws a body kick that misses.
Zaferani tries to land a front kick but Harvey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Harvey connects with a looping right hand.
Hamid Zaferani is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Harvey shoots in looking for a takedown. Zaferani tries to sprawl out of it but Harvey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zaferani manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Zaferani slips a straight right by Harvey.
Zaferani throws the left hand but Harvey avoids the punch easily.
Harvey throws a hook but Zaferani blocks it.
Zaferani misses with a body kick.
Harvey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zaferani defends it nicely.
Harvey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Harvey moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Zaferani throws a head kick but Harvey moves out of range.

Zaferani misses with a hook. Harvey ducked under it nicely.
Zaferani avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Harvey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zaferani's guard.

Zaferani has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Harvey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zaferani is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harvey is doing well to control the position and prevent Zaferani from advancing to side control.

Harvey is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zaferani pulls his head out easily.
