Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dima Zinin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Marteau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Marteau will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zinin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Marteau lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Marteau throws out a powerful jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Marteau throws a nice looking combination but Zinin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Nice combo by Marteau! Oh, that's hurt him - Zinin falls to the canvas and Marteau follows him into side control.

Zinin is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Marteau throws an elbow but Zinin slips to the side and avoids it well.
Oh Zinin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marteau postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Zinin managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Marteau.
Zinin seems to have got his legs back now.
Marteau in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Marteau decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Zinin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marteau tries to avoid it but Zinin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marteau to the ground. Marteau escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Zinin is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marteau throws a head kick that misses.
Marteau lands with a kick to the temple. Zinin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Zinin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Marteau defends it nicely.

and Marteau counters with a big head kick but Zinin shrugs it off.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dima Zinin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Zinin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marteau on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marteau decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zinin to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zinin throws a wild hook but Marteau just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Zinin gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Marteau raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
