PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Lasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ramirez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Megadeth-Trust. Liam Lasher has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lasher shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ramirez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ramirez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lasher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ramirez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lasher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lasher is fighting to break Ramirez's control of his arms but Ramirez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Lasher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramirez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ramirez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lasher manages to get himself to full guard.

Lasher is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramirez defends well.

Ramirez throws an elbow that misses. Lasher uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ramirez's guard. Nice move by Lasher!

Lasher sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ramirez's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

A close round but Liam Lasher will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lasher shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Ramirez is in all sorts of trouble here.

Lasher has hold of Ramirez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ramirez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ramirez wants to control but Lasher is having none of it.
Ramirez sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Lasher is keen to just control but Ramirez is a slippery customer.

Ramirez has his foot on Lasher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lasher works his way back into a safe position though.
