PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Pinus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Simpson.
Good exchange - Simpson coming out on top.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Simpson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Simpson scores with a jab to the head.
Simpson tries to bum rush Pinus with a series of wild strikes but Pinus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pinus wants to clinch but Simpson slips to the side

and Simpson counters with a nice right hand that sends Pinus toppling to the canvas! Pinus scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Simpson finish him?!
Pinus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Simpson moves into range and clinches up with Pinus.
Pinus tries to break free but Simpson pushes him back against the cage.
Simpson lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Simpson drops Pinus onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Pinus is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Pinus is rocked!
Pinus is breathing heavily.
Simpson creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Pinus with a big uppercut! Pinus tries to clinch up but Simpson pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Pinus to the mat! Pinus covers up and Simpson unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bart Simpson!
