Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sumner.
Silva walks into a jab.
Sumner cracks Silva with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Silva fails with the takedown.
Sumner throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Sumner fights it but they end up in guard.
Sumner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva pushing down on Sumner's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Sumner is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Silva scores with a couple of nice shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sumner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.
Still in half guard, Silva seems content to control.

Sumner is looking to improve his position.
Sumner is in trouble now - Silva has advanced to mount!
Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sumner wants to get back to his feet.
Silva controlling his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva landing strikes from the mount.
Sumner is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sumner is working to get back to half guard.

Sumner tries to hold on but Silva postures up.
Sumner is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Silva is staying active.
Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sumner tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away.
Silva controlling the pace for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sumner tries to improve his position but Silva has taken his back! Silva has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Sumner tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Silva pushes Sumner away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
