The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a hook to the side of Cross's head but Cross sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Anderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Anderson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A nice leg kick lands there from Cross.
Cross throws a series of strikes that have Anderson backpedaling.
Cross lands a nice shot to the body.
Anderson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cross sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cross lands a nice hook to Anderson's body. Anderson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cross rushes Anderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Anderson is trying to pull guard but Cross has him pressed against the cage.
Anderson jumps guard but Cross stands there with Anderson around his waist. Anderson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arn Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters circle momentarily. Cross darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
David Cross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cross digs a good hook to Anderson's body.
Cross throws a front kick that sends Anderson stumbling back into the cage.

Cross throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Anderson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nice uppercut there from Cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Anderson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cross connects with a leg kick. Anderson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cross is looking to slow Anderson down with leg kicks.

Cross turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Cross lands a high kick to the side of Anderson's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Cross dives into guard, looking to finish.

Anderson is rocked!
Cross postures up and lands a big shot to Anderson's brow.
Oh Anderson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cross loads up on a big left hand. Anderson felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Cross looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Anderson can't hide his disappointment, as Cross celebrates the victory.
