Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Smoke Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liquid Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Smoke Robinson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Smoke Robinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liquid Snake!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snake shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Robinson as he jumps to the side.
Smoke Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robinson wants to clinch.
Robinson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Robinson closes the distance but Snake moves to the side

and Snake counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Snake postures up in Robinson's guard and throws a big left but Robinson blocks it.
Snake pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Robinson is keeping the position for now.
Robinson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Snake!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Robinson trying to control but Snake is having none of it.
Snake tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Snake has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Snake regains half guard.

Snake looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Snake has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Robinson is working away from the top position though.
Snake tries to get to full guard but Robinson has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Robinson scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Snake moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Robinson throws a strike but Snake rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Robinson controls Snake momentarily but Snake frees himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Snake accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Robinson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Snake looking to sit in guard and control but Robinson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Robinson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Snake to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Robinson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Snake pulls down on the head and he's put Robinson to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Liquid Snake!
