Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Chow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rogers's choice of entrance music: Flea - Pea. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Raymond Chow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenny Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chow scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Rogers postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chow is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rogers, into his guard.

Chow sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rogers's guard.

Chow not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Chow is thwarting Rogers's attempts to control the position.
Chow is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Chow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rogers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Chow throws an elbow that misses. Rogers uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chow's guard. Nice move by Rogers!

Chow's corner calls for a 1-2. Chow obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Chow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rogers shoots in for a takedown but Chow shows good takedown defense.
Chow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rogers was well out of range. Poor timing from Chow.

and Rogers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rogers closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Chow shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rogers napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Chow sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rogers is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chow tries to score with some ground and pound. Rogers controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Raymond Chow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rogers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rogers seems keen to control Chow's posture.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Chow has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
