Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nati Kuperman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleb Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phillips has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nati Kuperman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kaleb Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuperman throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Phillips as Kuperman shoots in.

Kuperman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kuperman is pressing down on Phillips's thigh, looking to free his foot. Phillips is holding on for now.
Phillips wants to improve his position but Kuperman is controlling well.
Phillips really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuperman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Phillips wants to control but Kuperman is keeping busy.
Phillips pushes Kuperman off looking to stand but Kuperman dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kuperman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kuperman working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Phillips's thigh. Phillips counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Phillips lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kuperman!
Kuperman holds on to Phillips around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
Kuperman wants to hold on but Phillips pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Phillips prevents Kuperman from getting the reversal.
Phillips controlling the pace for now.
Kuperman tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kuperman is working hard here to advance position.
Kuperman is squirming around, avoiding Phillips's attempts to control the action.

Kuperman wants to control but Phillips is having none of it.
Kuperman is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Kuperman is looking to improve his position but Phillips isn't that keen on the idea.
Phillips looking to control but Kuperman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kuperman is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Phillips can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kuperman is looking to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kuperman wants to control but Phillips is having none of it.
Kuperman gets back to half guard.

Kuperman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kuperman wants to improve his position but Phillips is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kuperman fails with a takedown attempt.
Kuperman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Phillips tries to avoid it but Kuperman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Phillips to the ground. Phillips escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kuperman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nati Kuperman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Phillips connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Kuperman! He's out on his feet! Phillips rushes in and drops Kuperman with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
