And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esson tries to land a front kick but Stanford steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Stanford fails with the takedown
and Esson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Stanford wants to sweep here but Esson controlling him for the moment.
Esson connects with a couple of short punches.
Esson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stanford looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stanford looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stanford!
Esson is trying to control Stanford's posture but Stanford avoids it.
Esson manages to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Esson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Stanford throws a strike but Esson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Esson controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Esson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Stanford lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Esson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stanford!
Esson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Stanford is looking to get to half guard.
Esson with the ground and pound from mount.
Stanford tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Esson trying to control but Stanford is having none of it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stanford is desperately trying to improve his position but Esson has a good base and remains in mount.

Esson is landing with some decent strikes but Stanford is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Esson working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Esson looking to secure an arm triangle but Stanford defends it well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Esson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Stanford is rocked!
It looks like Jake Stanford has been cut.
Esson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Stanford is still in real trouble! Can Esson finish him?
Esson drops a big elbow. That's hurt Stanford! More shots from Esson and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
