Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yodsanklai Fair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wei Yeh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Yodsanklai Fair has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yodsanklai Fair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wei Yeh!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yeh is looking to clinch but Fair is avoiding it.
Fair tries to clinch but Yeh moves away

and Yeh counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Yeh.
Yeh stalling.
Fair tries to land a knee to the head but Yeh blocks with his arms.
Fair wants to break the clinch but can't.
Yeh wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fair is trying to break the clinch but Yeh has him pressed against the cage.
Fair presses Yeh against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Yeh pressing his opponent against the cage.
Fair tries to stall but Yeh uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Fair wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Yeh will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Fair up against the cage.
Come on Fair - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Fair is trying to maintain a safe position but Yeh gets an underhook and turns Fair into the cage.

Fair misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Yeh.
Fair tries to break the clinch but Yeh is controlling the position.
Yeh dodges an elbow strike from Fair.

Fair trying to stall but Yeh improves his position.
Yeh fails to pull guard.

Yeh has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fair clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fair is having to fend off submission attempts from Yeh, who is looking to sink in the choke. Yeh doesn't have the hooks in though and Fair manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Fair is looking to stand up but Yeh won't let him.
Fair might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fair trying to control the position from guard on top but Yeh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fair wants to stand but Yeh has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Yeh is pulling down on Fair's head to control his posture.
Fair scoring with some ground and pound.
Yeh is pulling down on Fair's head. It's preventing any offense from Fair, at least for the moment.
Fair stays in close to Yeh's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Yodsanklai Fair just wasn't active enough.
Fair connects with a right hand. Yeh shakes it off.
Fair looks to clinch

and Yeh counters by clinching up.
Fair wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Fair tries to circle away but Yeh has him pinned against the cage.
Yeh taking a breather.

Yeh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Yeh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fair trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Yeh has his hands on Fair's head, controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Yodsanklai Fair will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Yeh swats away the attempt to clinch by Fair.
Fair throws a sloppy head kick and Yeh moves out of range easily.
Yodsanklai Fair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fair's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Fair duly obliges.
Fair tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Yeh forces Fair back against the cage and clinches.
Fair is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Yeh is keeping busy.
Yeh stalls.

Fair is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yeh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fair to the mat. Fair regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Yeh stays in close to Fair's body and controls the position.
Yeh slips nicely into half guard.

Yeh is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Yeh is looking to advance position but Fair won't allow it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fair is trying to stand.

Yeh is working for a submission of some sort.
Yeh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Fair pushes Yeh off looking to stand but Yeh dives back in and keeps control.
Yeh passes to full mount!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yeh fails to move to back control.
Yeh controlling his opponent.
Yeh raining down hammerfists from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fair is bucking up trying to escape but Yeh cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Yeh sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Yeh looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Yeh goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fair is on top in guard.
Fair postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Yeh looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Wei Yeh hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Fair pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wei Yeh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Fair's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Yeh doesn't manage to clinch there - Fair circles away.
Yeh moves out of range of the body kick from Fair.
Fair throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fair tries a head kick but it misses.
Fair wants to clinch up but Yeh keeps it at a distance.

Yeh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fair's half guard.
Yeh is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Yeh works his foot free and advances to mount.
Fair wants to try and get back to his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Yeh working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Fair wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Yeh looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Yeh looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Yeh is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fair is trying to stand up.
Yeh controlling from the full mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fair is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Yeh content just to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yeh working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Fair looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Yeh! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Wei Yeh!
An out of breath Wei Yeh thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
