Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charon Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Espinosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Toybox - Sailor Song . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charon Hawkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesus Espinosa!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins shoots in but no luck this time.
Hawkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Espinosa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hawkins circles away quickly and effectively.
Hawkins drops his hands momentarily and Espinosa takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Espinosa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hawkins looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Hawkins creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Hawkins throws an elbow but it misses.

Espinosa wants the takedown. Hawkins is fighting it off but Espinosa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hawkins's guard against the cage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Espinosa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Espinosa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Espinosa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hawkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Espinosa's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Espinosa can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hawkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Espinosa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hawkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jesus Espinosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hawkins is nestled in close to Espinosa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
