Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Carpio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pain Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carpio comes to the cage accompanied by Derezzed. Peters is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by BringThe Pain. On his way into the cage it seems that Dave Carpio has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dave Carpio seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Carpio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pain Peters!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Peters.
Carpio lands with a right hand.

Carpio rushes Peters and presses him up against the cage.
Carpio lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Peters backwards.

Carpio lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Carpio has a couple of punches blocked by Peters.

Peters pulls guard effortlessly.
Carpio postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Carpio stands up over Peters, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carpio's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Carpio makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Peters is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Peters is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carpio is aware though and is defending well.

Peters manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carpio manages to get himself to full guard.

Carpio is looking for a sweep.

Peters wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carpio, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carpio manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Peters is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carpio doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Peters.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carpio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Carpio is pressing down on Peters's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Carpio controls Peters momentarily but Peters frees himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Peters pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carpio is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dave Carpio will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Peters has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carpio finds it's way round the side to connect with Peters's head.

With the fighters up against the cage, Carpio throws an elbow but misses.

Carpio lands a left hand that snaps the head of Peters backwards.
Peters blocks an elbow strike from Carpio.

Peters tries to pull guard but Carpio won't allow it.
Carpio lands with a right to the head.

Carpio looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Peters avoids the elbow strike from Carpio, against the cage.
A shot in the inside from Carpio.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Carpio creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.


Peters is rocked!
Carpio creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Peters's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Peters drops to his knees and Carpio pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Carpio!
Dave Carpio really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that ACME-Blood Red Q158 Always $30 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
