Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyde kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Psycho Man. Scott Hyde has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyde gets a takedown into half guard.
Hyde seems to be looking for submissions.
Johnson keeping hold of Hyde's head, controlling as best he can.
Hyde is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hyde to get the leverage.
Hyde passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Johnson!
Hyde is trying to take his opponent's back.
Hyde working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is in no mood to give up.
Johnson holds on for dear life, controlling Hyde's posture momentarily.

Hyde has control of Johnson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Johnson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Johnson tries to hold on but Hyde pushes him away.
Hyde is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Johnson is surviving well by controlling Hyde's body position as best he can.
Johnson regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hyde is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it.
Hyde is working for a submission of some sort.
Johnson is holding on to half guard well.
Johnson works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hyde stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hyde has gone for a leg lock! Johnson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hyde's guard.
Johnson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hyde has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.
Hyde looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hyde is looking to sweep but instead, Johnson has passed into half guard.
Hyde with the active half guard here but Johnson passes nicely into side control.
Hyde tries to improve position but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
I looks like Johnson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Johnson dominated that round.
That's time! Hyde's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Horrible takedown by Hyde or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.
Hyde misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hyde misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hyde misses with the combination.
Hyde is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson thuds his right hand into Hyde's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hyde will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hyde swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hyde doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Hyde throws a right and a left that both miss.

Hyde is looking to clinch.
Hyde tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hyde wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.

Johnson throws a hook but Hyde blocks it.
Hyde displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johnson throws out the jab.
Hyde fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hyde throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.

Johnson lands with a nice combination. Hyde backs away looking to recover.
Hyde misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hyde is rocked!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Oh Hyde is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hyde is trying desperately to improve position.
Hyde takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Johnson's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rock Johnson! Rock Johnson retains his heavyweight title!
