The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Montoya, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Montoya fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Montoya tries to clinch up
and Scorpii counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Scorpii cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Montoya shoots in for a double leg but Scorpii sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Montoya has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Scorpii after a bit of a struggle.

Scorpii's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Montoya looks for a takedown but Scorpii sprawls well.

Montoya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Scorpii is pressed up against the ropes. Montoya has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Scorpii down to the mat. Scorpii avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bekah Montoya is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Scorpii scores with a one two! Montoya had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
