PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dallas MacMillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Wrassle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacMillan has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joe Wrassle was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dallas MacMillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Wrassle!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrassle is trying hard to land a takedown here. MacMillan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Wrassle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Wrassle is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Wrassle's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Wrassle passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MacMillan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Wrassle working the body and head with strikes.
Wrassle cracks MacMillan with an elbow. That is naaassty.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wrassle lands an elbow.
Wrassle lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
MacMillan is breathing heavily.
Wrassle working the ground and pound.
MacMillan tries to bench press Wrassle off him but Wrassle keeps the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wrassle working the ground and pound from side control.
Wrassle lands a nice forearm strike.
MacMillan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if MacMillan tries to get out of the position.
Wrassle cracks MacMillan with a big right hand but MacMillan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Wrassle connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused MacMillan some visible discomfort.
You can see the frustration on MacMillan's face as Wrassle controls the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wrassle is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. MacMillan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Wrassle gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. MacMillan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Wrassle lets go of the hold and MacMillan can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Joe Wrassle!
