The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omega cracks the inside of Lopez's front leg.
An inside leg kick lands from Omega.
Lopez connects with a right hand. Omega shakes it off.
A jab from Lopez misses.
Omega misses with a head kick.
Lopez swings for the body but Omega moves out of range.
Omega leaves Lopez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lopez is looking to slow Omega down with leg kicks.
Lopez shoots in but Omega avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lopez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pedro Lopez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lopez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lopez looks for the body kick but Omega saw that one coming.
Omega scores with a jab. Lopez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Lopez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Omega scores with a punch to the head.
Lopez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lopez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lopez. Omega does a little dance to reset his feet.
No joy there for Omega, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Thor Omega is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Omega.
Pedro Lopez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Omega thumps Lopez with a low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Omega lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Omega uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lopez.
