Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andre Perkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Stout!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stout doesn't manage to clinch there - Perkins circles away.
Perkins blocks a head kick by Stout.

Stout moves in looking to clinch but Perkins pushes him off.

Perkins closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stout did well to prevent Perkins getting side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stout can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Perkins connects with a nice short shot to Stout's temple.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andre Perkins will probably get the nod.

Stout is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Perkins has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Perkins!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perkins is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
