Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kik mAn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ati Kon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kik mAn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ati Kon!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kon tries to clinch up but mAn circles away and keeps his distance.
mAn is looking to clinch but Kon is avoiding it.
mAn avoids the head kick by Kon.
Kon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
mAn shoots for a double leg takedown but Kon sprawls well. He's pushed mAn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kon tries to clinch there but mAn circles away.

Kon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for mAn!
mAn slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
mAn won't allow Kon to pass to mount.
Kon is thwarting mAn's attempts to control the position.
mAn wants to improve his position but Kon is controlling well.
Kon slows the pace down in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kon working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on mAn's thigh. mAn counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Kon trying to control but mAn is working from the bottom.
mAn wants to sweep here but Kon controlling him for the moment.

mAn wriggles free and stands up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kon throws a sloppy head kick and mAn moves out of range easily.
Kon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from mAn.
mAn shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kik mAn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
mAn is breathing heavily.
mAn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kon's waist but Kon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing mAn off to one side.
mAn leaves Kon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kon clinches up with mAn and pushes him back against the cage.

Kon decides to pull guard.
mAn is looking to stand up but Kon won't let him.
Kon tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
mAn trying to control but Kon is working from the bottom.
Kon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kon holds on and takes a little breather.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
mAn shoots in for a takedown but Kon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from mAn.

Kon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in mAn's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
mAn looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kon chips away with some ground and pound.
Kon controlling from the top position.
Kon postures up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ati Kon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kon.
Kon cracks a nice hook into mAn's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ati Kon dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kon wants to clinch.
Kon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

mAn gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. mAn fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kon clinches up against the cage.

mAn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
mAn shoots in for a takedown but Kon shows good takedown defense.
Kon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kik mAn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ati Kon.

That's one minute gone in the round.
mAn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kon to score with a decent uppercut.
mAn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kon is breathing heavily.

Kon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. mAn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
mAn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kon on the ground.
mAn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kon controls the pace.
mAn has control of Kon's left arm, preventing Kon from doing any damage.
Kon is looking to stand up but mAn won't let him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
mAn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
mAn is working hard here to advance position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kon looks to land a combination. mAn sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kon misses with the combination.
mAn pushes Kon away with a front kick.
Kon throws a leg kick

and mAn holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
mAn is looking to break free of the clinch but Kon has double underhooks.
mAn fails to pull guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Come on Kon - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Kon wants to stall.
Kon has mAn pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. mAn manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
mAn lands a damaging elbow.

mAn decides to pull guard.
Kon sitting in guard, not really doing much.

mAn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kon defends well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kon scoring with some ground and pound.
mAn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kon is controlling him.
Kon passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Kon in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ati Kon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Kon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
mAn takes a head kick and keeps coming.

mAn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kon, pushing him back against the cage.
mAn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kon after a bit of a struggle.
Kon is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Kon is trying to drag mAn to the mat but mAn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
mAn is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kon is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kik mAn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kon jumps guard and drags mAn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kon wants to sweep but no luck.
mAn wants to control from the top but Kon keeps moving.
mAn throws a big elbow that misses.
Kon trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kon keeping moving, preventing mAn from controlling successfully.
mAn in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst mAn is controlling him.
mAn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
mAn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kik mAn wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. mAn tries to avoid it but Kon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag mAn to the ground. mAn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

mAn clinches with his opponent.
Kon content to slow the pace in the clinch.
mAn tries to pull guard but Kon won't allow it.
mAn scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kon misses with some punches.
mAn is trying to pull guard but Kon has him pressed against the cage.

mAn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kon's efforts to push away.
Kon jumps guard but mAn stands there with Kon around his waist. Kon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kon jumps into guard, dragging mAn to the mat.
Kon keeping full guard, as mAn tries to pass.

Kon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ati Kon has got the better of the ground game so far.
mAn trying to control but Kon is working from the bottom.

mAn slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kon is looking for a sweep.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ati Kon.
I've got Kon winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
