Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Mallao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Spider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mallao is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spider throws a hook but Mallao avoids it easily.
Mallao is breathing heavily.
Spider throws a series of punches but Mallao moves out of range.

Spider fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mallao checks it well.

Mallao scores with a head kick. Spider tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Mallao is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Spider's half guard.

Mallao shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mallao was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That was a close round but I would say that Roger Mallao will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Spider might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mallao kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Anderson Spider hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Mallao throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spider was covering up waiting for the punch and Mallao finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spider is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roger Mallao overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Spider bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mallao's guard.

Mallao shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Spider manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roger Mallao will probably get the nod.
