Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Crowley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalam Mekhar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mekhar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crowley tries to avoid it but Mekhar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crowley to the ground. Crowley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Crowley throws a series of punches but Mekhar avoids them all with ease.
A lazy left from Crowley finds it's target.
Crowley looks to score with a jab to the body but Mekhar is just out of range.
Mekhar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Crowley misses with a few strikes there.
Crowley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Thomas Crowley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalam Mekhar.

Mekhar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crowley is fending him off so far but Mekhar persists. Nope, Crowley circles away and we're back to standing.

Mekhar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mekhar showed some decent athleticism there.

Mekhar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Crowley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mekhar.
Crowley is looking to escape.

Mekhar is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Crowley is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
