The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matheus looks for the body kick but Miller saw that one coming.
Miller drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Matheus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Miller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Matheus throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Miller remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Matheus throws a punch from the bottom, which has left him a bit exposed here… Miller has an arm triangle now. This could be big trouble for Matheus. He's out! He's out cold! The ref pulls Miller off and Miller celebrates with his corner.
