Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khalifa Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da BOOm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan comes to the cage accompanied by Prodigal Son. Da BOOm is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BOOm fails with the takedown.
BOOm closes the distance and clinches up with Khan, looking for a takedown. BOOm pushes Khan against the cage but Khan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Khan darts in and clinches BOOm up against the cage.

It looks like Da BOOm has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khan digs a right hand into BOOm's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on BOOm's gas tank.

Khan is trying to trip BOOm. He has hold of a leg but BOOm is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Khan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Khan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
BOOm tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Khan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Khan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, BOOm has escaped the position, nice work there.
BOOm is looking for a sweep.

Khan looks up at the clock and then as BOOm takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Khan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

BOOm can't do much from the bottom here.

Khan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, BOOm rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Khan's guard! Nice work there by BOOm!
BOOm must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Khan has BOOm pulled in close to control his posture.

BOOm stands up from Khan's guard - BOOm perhaps looking for a knockout.
BOOm shoots in and drives through. Khan sprawls well.
Khalifa Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Da BOOm.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That has opened up Da BOOm's cut even more.
BOOm is looking for a takedown.
Khan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
BOOm wants a takedown.

Khan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. BOOm can't fight it off and eventually Khan manages to take the fight to the floor. BOOm looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The cut above Da BOOm's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
BOOm is breathing heavily.

BOOm controls Khan momentarily but Khan frees himself.

Khan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Khan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Khan stands and throws BOOm's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Da BOOm's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Da BOOm's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
