The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Twitchell with that takedown attempt.
Nice defenses there by Twitchell.
Duncan leaves Twitchell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Duncan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Duncan showed some decent athleticism there.
Twitchell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Duncan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Twitchell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Duncan can do anything to dispel that myth.
