Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryan Crays!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ulf Minutsak!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minutsak throws a series of punches but Crays moves out of range.
Minutsak lands a head shot.
Minutsak moves in looking to clinch but Crays pushes him off.
Minutsak closes the distance and clinches up with Crays, looking for a takedown. Minutsak pushes Crays against the cage but Crays circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Minutsak looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Crays darts in and clinches Minutsak up against the cage.
Crays stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Minutsak tries to pull guard but Crays won't allow it.
Ryan Crays has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ulf Minutsak.
Minutsak is trying to stall.

Minutsak gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Crays holds on and takes a little breather.

Crays has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Minutsak off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Crays darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Crays stops Minutsak from getting back to his feet.
Minutsak looks gassed!
Crays throwing shots but Minutsak is blocking nicely.

Crays escapes and gets back to his feet.

Crays closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Crays decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Crays has Minutsak up against the cage in a clinch.

Crays breaks from the clinch.

Minutsak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Minutsak misses with a takedown

and Crays counters with a shoot takedown. Minutsak fights it but they end up in guard.
Minutsak is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Crays dives into side control.
Minutsak is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Crays's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Minutsak is looking to escape.
Crays is thwarting Minutsak's attempts to control the position.

Crays is working for a kimura but Minutsak is defending it quite comfortably.

Crays takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Minutsak shoots and misses

and Crays counters by clinching up.
Minutsak wants to get back to striking at distance but Crays won't allow it.

Crays breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Crays shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Minutsak's guard.
Minutsak can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crays controls the pace.
Minutsak looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crays is one step ahead there.
Minutsak not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Crays stands up from Minutsak's guard - Crays perhaps looking for a knockout.

Crays shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Crays was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crays controlling the position easily from mount.
Crays looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Crays in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Crays controlling the pace for now.
Minutsak tries to improve his position but instead Crays has taken his back!

Crays is persistently looking for the submission but Minutsak is defending it well.

Crays is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Minutsak tries to break free.
Crays is controlling the position but Minutsak somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Minutsak wants to get back to his feet.
Minutsak throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Minutsak preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Crays shoots in and bounces Minutsak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Crays pushing down on Minutsak's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Crays working the head and body with strikes.

Crays is working for a submission of some sort.
Minutsak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Minutsak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well, if Crays is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Minutsak works his way to full guard. Good work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Crays postures up and lands a big shot to Minutsak's brow.
Crays working some strikes from top position.
Crays is stalling in the full guard.
Crays seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Minutsak for as long as he can get away with.

Crays stands and steps away. Minutsak gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Minutsak takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Crays decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

and Crays counters with a nice double leg into side control. Minutsak won't be happy with that.

Minutsak can't do much from the bottom here.
Minutsak is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Ulf Minutsak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Crays wants to lay and pray for a moment but Minutsak keeps working.

Ryan Crays showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Crays has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
