Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Haye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, David Haye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Will West!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West takes the fight into the clinch.
West is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Haye working hard to break the clinch.
West is struggling to control the position.
Haye is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Haye can't find room to land a body shot as West controls the action.
Haye avoiding damage as West throws knees to the body.
West wants a takedown.
Haye is trying to break the clinch but West has him pressed against the cage.

Haye manages to break the clinch.
Haye throws a lazy right hand but West sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Haye throws a good cross that connects.
West connects with an inside leg kick.

West misses with a takedown attempt - Haye sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Haye counters with a nice body shot.
Haye leaves West with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
David Haye has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will West.
Haye throws a lazy right hand but West sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

West shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Haye napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Haye manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Haye is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Haye wants to sweep but West has passed to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
West trying to control the position but Haye is working away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
West is looking to take a break and control but Haye is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

West thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

West misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
West has control of an arm but Haye manages to advance to West's back!
West rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Haye is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
West is trying to control but can't.
Haye wants to stand up but West is controlling the position.

Haye decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Good leg kick by West there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

West avoids the body shot from Haye.
A slow jab from Haye misses its intended target.
Will West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West shoots in but no luck this time.
Haye throws a looping overhand right but West ducks down to avoid it.
West tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Haye swivels and escapes.
A telegraphed right hand from Haye misses the target.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Haye lands a right hook to the body.
David Haye is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A low kick from West misses
and Haye counters with a straight right hand.
Some bone on bone action there as Haye checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Will West will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Haye throws a body punch but West moves out of range.
West throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Haye keeps the fight on the outside.
West is trying hard to land a takedown here. Haye sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

West fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haye sprawls well initially but West persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
West thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
West is thwarting Haye's attempts to control the position.

Haye is wriggling around trying to escape.

West goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Haye is on top in guard.
Haye wants to stand and escape but instead West has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Haye is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
West throwing strikes from guard but Haye blocks nicely.

Haye pulls West in close to prevent any damage.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
West lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
West stays in close to Haye's body and controls the position.
Haye will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
West wants to control from the top but Haye keeps moving.
West showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Haye wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Will West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

West lands a big shot to the head and Haye winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Will West!
Will West spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
