PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dom Fartch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solar Eclipse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dom Fartch has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dom Fartch seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eclipse misses with a series of wild punches.

Eclipse shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Eclipse was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Eclipse can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fartch is looking to escape.
Eclipse controlling his opponent.

Eclipse is working for a guillotine from mount but Fartch frees his head quite easily.
Fartch tries to hold on but Eclipse pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fartch is desperately trying to improve his position but Eclipse has a good base and remains in mount.
Eclipse looking to control but Fartch is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Fartch working to try and regain half guard.
Eclipse controlling from the full mount.
Fartch is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fartch is squirming around, avoiding Eclipse's attempts to control the action.
Fartch is in all sorts of trouble here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fartch wants to control but Eclipse is having none of it.
Eclipse wants to take Fartch's back but he can't do it this time.
Fartch is working to get back to half guard.
Eclipse fails to advance to Fartch's back.
Fartch tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fartch is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fartch sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Still in half guard, Eclipse seems content to control.
Fartch is not content to let Eclipse control the position.
Fartch gets back to full guard.
Eclipse trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Eclipse looking to sit in guard and control but Fartch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Eclipse keeping moving, preventing Fartch from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Solar Eclipse will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fartch drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fartch throwing strikes from guard but Eclipse blocks nicely.
Fartch will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fartch wants to pass the guard but Eclipse is keeping the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Eclipse is on top in guard.

Fartch looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Eclipse is defending well. Fartch quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Eclipse has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Fartch celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
