Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Arteta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arteta comes into the arena with Yall must have Forgot--Roy Jones Jr blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arteta fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Arteta.
Arteta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Arteta throws a jab when Silva was well out of range.
Arteta throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Arteta tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Arteta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Arteta looks to land a combination. Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Junior Silva has been cut.
Arteta misses with a two punch combination.
Arteta tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Silva is able to avoid easily.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Arteta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva shoots in but Arteta avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Arteta lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Arteta throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Arteta darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Arteta fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Arteta manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Diego Arteta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junior Silva.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt - Arteta sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Arteta misses with a wild combination.
Arteta scores with a head kick. Silva tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Horrible takedown by Arteta or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

A head kick from Arteta lands but Silva takes it in his stride.
Silva is rocked!
Diego Arteta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Arteta throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.

Silva gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Arteta drops Silva with a beautiful combination! Silva stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Arteta is looking for the KO!
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Arteta finish him?
That has opened up Junior Silva's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Arteta lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Arteta.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Diego Arteta is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silva walks into a straight right hand from Arteta.
Arteta is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Arteta lands with a big left! Silva is wobbled badly! Arteta comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Silva to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
