The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machin rushes Gracie and presses him up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Machin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Machin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Gracie is trying to keep an underhook but Machin manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Machin is controlling well.
Gracie moves into full guard.
Machin is pushing down on Gracie's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gracie is fighting to maintain full guard but Machin has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gracie manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Machin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. Machin eventually gives up the hold.

Machin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gracie defend it? Machin steps over the head and cranks it - Gracie is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Machin!
