PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Clinton Chaos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Foe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chaos comes to the cage accompanied by Soilwork - Natural Born Chaos. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Clinton Chaos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Foe!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Foe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chaos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Foe.
Chaos misses with a body shot.
Chaos pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Chaos.
A leg kick checked by Foe.
Foe shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Chaos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chaos misses with an uppercut. Foe saw that one coming.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Chaos.
Foe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chaos defends it nicely.
Chaos thows a body shot but no joy.

Foe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chaos prevents any damage by holding on tight.

Chaos is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Chaos wants to control but Foe is having none of it.
Foe lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chaos tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Foe scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Chaos?
Chaos is squirming around, avoiding Foe's attempts to control the action.

Foe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chaos is looking to escape.

Chaos sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Foe thows a huge punch but Chaos dodges it nicely.
Chaos is refusing to be controlled, as Foe sits in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Foe lands a nice short elbow.
Foe wants to stand up but Chaos is controlling the position.
Foe is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Chaos tries to roll over but Foe keeps him under control.

Foe decides to stand up.
Foe takes one to the chin there.
Chaos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Foe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chaos as he jumps to the side.
Foe slips under a jab.
Chaos misses with a lunging right hand
and Foe counters with a one-two to the body.
Foe on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Chaos scores with a jab to the body.
Foe looks gassed!
Chaos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Foe moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Foe looks for a takedown but Chaos sprawls well.
Clinton Chaos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Foe.
Foe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chaos.
A left and a right from Chaos both land. Nice combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chaos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Chaos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Foe manages to avoid it.

Chaos tries to score with a low kick but Foe moves his leg out of the way.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Foe blocks a low kick nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clinton Chaos dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Foe throws a leg kick but Chaos moved away.
Foe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chaos tries to avoid it but Foe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chaos to the ground. Chaos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chaos is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Chaos fails to land with a series of punches.

Foe throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chaos was covering up waiting for the punch and Foe finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Chaos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Foe manages to get himself to full guard.

Foe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chaos drops back looking for a leg! Foe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Foe manages to kick Chaos off! Chaos jumps back into Foe's guard.

Foe tries to kick Chaos off but Chaos keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Chaos is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Foe!

Foe sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Chaos is looking to take a break and control but Foe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Foe flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Chaos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Foe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chaos pulls his head out easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chaos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Foe defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Foe throws a series of strikes that have Chaos backpedaling.
Foe ducks right into an uppercut from Chaos.
Clinton Chaos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chaos connects with a nice looking jab.
Chaos misses the shot to the body.
Chaos misses with a low kick as Foe jumps back.
Chaos lands with a hook. Foe tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A right-left combo lands from Chaos.


It looks like Joe Foe has been cut.

Foe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chaos's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foe wants to pass the guard but Chaos is keeping the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chaos is on top in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Foe controls Chaos momentarily but Chaos frees himself.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Chaos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Foe is keeping the position for now.
Chaos throws a big elbow that misses.
Chaos is stalling in the full guard.
Foe trying to keep a closed guard but Chaos is proving a slippery customer.
Foe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Foe prevents Chaos from improving his position.

Foe is just content to waste time from the top position. Chaos takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Chaos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Foe is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chaos can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Clinton Chaos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Chaos tries to lock up and control but Foe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Joe Foe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

Clinton Chaos tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
