Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Barboza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by All I do is Win - DJ Khaled. Jose Barboza has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mason Jackson's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barboza misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jackson blocks a head kick by Barboza.
Jackson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Barboza under the eye.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Barboza lands a head kick. Jackson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Barboza throws a head kick that misses
and Jackson counters with an outside leg kick.
Barboza tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Barboza avoids it.
Barboza is trying to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling him.
Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barboza connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barboza pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Barboza.
Barboza goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt.
Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jackson throws a big shot that misses.
Jackson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barboza.

Barboza dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Barboza's head and hops out.
Barboza misses with a jab to the body
and Jackson counters with a solid body kick.
Barboza looks gassed!
Jackson throws a wild body kick that Barboza sees coming a mile off.

No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice body kick from Barboza.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barboza stuffs the takedown.

Barboza wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Jackson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Barboza to keep the fight standing.
Barboza has had enough of the clinch but Jackson keeps him there for the moment.

Barboza fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jackson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Barboza is defending well.
Jackson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Barboza after a bit of a struggle.
Barboza wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jackson has him pressed against the cage.
Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jackson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Barboza on the side of the head.
Barboza swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson throws a jab but it's blocked by Barboza.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Barboza swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barboza lands with a slapping head kick.

Jackson fails with a takedown attempt.
Jackson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Barboza in his tracks.
Jackson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barboza throws a head kick that half lands.
Barboza has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jackson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Jackson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Barboza jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Barboza around his waist. Barboza gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barboza has Jackson pushed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mason Jackson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jackson loads up on a big right hand but Barboza slips the punch.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barboza gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jackson.
Barboza connects with a solid leg kick.
Barboza clinches up against the cage.
Barboza wants to break free but Jackson has control.
Barboza tries for a takedown. No joy.
Barboza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barboza misses the jab.
Jackson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Barboza checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Barboza has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Barboza can't break the clinch.
Jackson tries a body shot but Barboza blocks it.
Jackson is trying to drag Barboza to the mat but Barboza just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Barboza keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jackson pushes off an throws an elbow but Barboza leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Barboza is looking for a takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barboza is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jackson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Mason Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Barboza.
Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Barboza tries a head kick but it misses.
Barboza misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barboza is breathing heavily.
Barboza gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A nice right hand lands inside from Jackson.
Barboza tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jackson smiles and moves away.
A clash of legs there as Jackson blocks the low kick.
Barboza throws a sloppy head kick
and Jackson counters with a two punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson gets in close and tags Barboza with a short punch that almost sends Barboza to the mat! Oh Barboza is in big trouble! He turns his back on Jackson, trying to create some distance but Jackson rushes him, striking wildly and Barboza goes down! The referee tackles Jackson into the cage to end the fight! Jackson is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mason Jackson!
