Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaughn Hammersmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Boyz. Hammersmith has chosen Kanye West - It's Amazing as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Silva.
Hammersmith pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hammersmith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hammersmith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Silva throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hammersmith.
It looks like Vaughn Hammersmith has been cut.
Nice body punch from Hammersmith.
Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing.
Hammersmith ducks under a wild hook from Silva.
Hammersmith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Hammersmith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hammersmith cracks Silva with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hammersmith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hammersmith off to one side.
Nice defenses there by Silva.
Hammersmith takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Silva takes a swing at Hammersmith's ribcage but misses.
Carlton Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A combination from Hammersmith does no damage.
Silva gets caught flat footed, as Hammersmith shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hammersmith forces his way into half guard.
Silva is trying to stand up here but Hammersmith is controlling him well.
Hammersmith moves nicely into side control.
Hammersmith prevents Silva from escaping the position.
Hammersmith wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
Hammersmith advances to full mount.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hammersmith on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hammersmith looking to control but Silva is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hammersmith is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Silva is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Silva flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Hammersmith anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Silva and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Hammersmith slips an arm under Silva chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Hammersmith has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Hammersmith is squeezing on Silva like an anaconda would it's prey. Silva fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Vaughn Hammersmith!
