Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Juarez as Gonzales shoots in.
Juarez scores with a nice strike.
Juarez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Juarez throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Juarez throws a head kick but Gonzales moves out of range.
Juarez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Juarez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Gonzales throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Juarez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gonzales is in Juarez's guard.
Gonzales slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Let's hope that Gonzales has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Juarez throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gonzales.

and Gonzales decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Juarez's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gonzales is looking to work some ground and pound but Juarez has wrist control.

Gonzales has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Juarez to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gonzales is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Juarez pulls down on the head and he's put Gonzales to sleep! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Julio Juarez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
