Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyai Wanggai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kiyai Wanggai!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues connects with a nice looking jab.
Wanggai shoots and misses
and Rodrigues counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wanggai doesn't manage to clinch there - Rodrigues circles away.
Rodrigues uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wanggai has time to react.
Rodrigues feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wanggais jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rodrigues digs a good hook to Wanggai's body.
Rodrigues misses with a wild combination.
Rodrigues scores with the left hand. Wanggai knows he should have avoided that one.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rodrigues connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wanggai momentarily.

Rodrigues throws a shot to the body.
Rodrigues sizes up Wanggai with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Rodrigues works the jab nicely.
Leandro Rodrigues is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rodrigues scores with a sloppy right hand. Wanggai should have avoided that one.
Rodrigues keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rodrigues lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wanggai is defended easily by Rodrigues.
Leandro Rodrigues has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kiyai Wanggai.
Wanggai has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wanggai there as he acknowledges the shot.

Rodrigues scores with a hook to the body. Wanggai takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wanggai fails with a takedown attempt.

Rodrigues swinging wildly here.
Rodrigues thuds his right hand into Wanggai's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wanggai gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wanggai takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rodrigues lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rodrigues's corner calls for a 1-2. Rodrigues obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Wanggai with a lazy takedown attempt
and Rodrigues counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Rodrigues scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rodrigues stalks Wanggai and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Wanggai's face. Wanggai staggers backwards, shaken.

Wanggai is rocked!
Rodrigues jabs Wanggai right on the nose. Wanggai blinks but takes it well.
Wanggai is still on wobbly legs! Can Rodrigues finish him?
Wanggai takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wanggai walks straight into a right hand from Rodrigues - that's dropped him! Rodrigues jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Wanggai from any more punishment! Wanggai complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
