The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy thows a left - swing and a miss!

Boy scores with a takedown into Meyer's guard.
Boy passes Meyer's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Boy thows a huge punch but Meyer dodges it nicely.
Boy wants to pass to mount but Meyer is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Meyer sees it coming and defends easily.
Boy prevents Meyer from improving his position.

Meyer won't allow Boy to pass to mount.
Meyer misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Boy wants to work for an arm triangle but Meyer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Boy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Meyer is just riding it out for now. Boy eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Meyer is staying active underneath Boy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Boy looking to sit in guard and control but Meyer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Meyer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Meyer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Boy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Meyer!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boy goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Meyer is on top in guard.

Meyer has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Boy to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Meyer is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Boy pulls down on the head and he's put Meyer to sleep! This one is all over!
