The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Magerramov is defended easily by Povetskin.
Povetskin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Magerramov.
Magerramov doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Povetskin to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boris Magerramov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Magerramov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Povetskin sprawls well. Povetskin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Magerramov gets slowly back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Povetskin connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Povetskin scores with a hook to the body. Magerramov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Boris Magerramov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Magerramov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Povetskin.
Magerramov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Povetskin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Magerramov.

Magerramov is rocked!
Povetskin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Oh Magerramov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Magerramov drops his hands momentarily. Povetskin doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Magerramov staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Magerramov doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
