Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sholin misses with a takedown
and Obasi counters with a nice uppercut.
Sholin with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Obasi to counter with a crisp jab.
Obasi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ayila Obasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Obasi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sholin, pushing him back against the cage.
Sholin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ayila Obasi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Berserka Sholin.
Obasi swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Obasi can't break the clinch.
Sholin tries for a takedown but Obasi manages to get underhooks.
Sholin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Obasi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Obasi is trying to push Sholin away but Sholin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Obasi has had enough of the clinch but Sholin keeps him there for the moment.

Obasi throws an elbow but it misses.
Sholin looking for a takedown.
Obasi is trying to break the clinch but Sholin is controlling him.

Obasi pulls guard effortlessly.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sholin wants to control from the top but Obasi keeps moving.
Sholin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Obasi has his feet on Sholin's thighs here. He's pushed Sholin off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Sholin screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ayila Obasi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
