The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ler shoots for a double leg takedown but Cage sprawls well. He's pushed Ler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cage scores with a head kick.

It looks like Wrex Ler has been cut.
Cage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cage sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ler somewhat.

Cage fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Johnny Cage spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
